A big thank you to all the competitors who entered this year’s Geoff Dowson Open Mixed Triples Competition. We hope you all enjoyed a fantastic day of bowling, friendship, and competition.

Congratulations to this year’s winners, Peter and Lisa Bonsor and Darren Reynolds. Well played to the runners-up, Russell Harper, Mark Jukes, and Janet Jukes, and to the third-placed team, Dave Palmer, Mandy Tompkins, and Linda Hamersley. An impressive achievement by all three top teams from Greenlands BC.

Our thanks also go to Brenda Burgess, who officiated as umpire for the day.

A special thank you to Tina Davies and her helpers in the kitchen, Geoff Isaac, Dave Sparrow, Karen Mayne, Dave and Shena Barnes, and everyone else who pitched in to help make the day run so smoothly.

We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Sue Sparrow Brown, our wonderful cake lady, who generously donates all the cakes to the club. Your kindness, hard work, and delicious baking are greatly appreciated by everyone and help make our events even more enjoyable.

As always, a big thank you to Suzanne Tildesley, Geoff Dowson’s daughter, who attends the presentation each year and continues to support this event in Geoff’s memory. Your presence is greatly appreciated and helps make the occasion even more special.

We would also like to thank Sue and Trevor Green for organising the raffle, along with Judy, Graham, and Jean for their assistance.

Events like this are only possible because of the hard work and support of so many volunteers, and we are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed.
